The Department of Liberal Studies, newly established in 2025, offers students broad academic freedom and flexible pathways to achieve their goals.
In the first semester, students explore various majors while receiving individualized guidance through one-on-one advising with faculty mentors. From the second semester, they begin formal coursework in the major they select.
By emphasizing interdisciplinary learning, creativity, and problem-solving skills, the department nurtures future-ready talents who can thrive in a rapidly changing world.
For students who have not yet chosen a major, we provide personalized counseling and academic support to help them discover the field of study that best matches their interests and aspirations.
Key Programs

▶ Major Selection Coaching Program
Through dedicated faculty advisors, students receive comprehensive guidance from selecting two prospective majors, taking introductory courses in each, to making their final choice of major. This coaching program supports every step of the decision-making process.

▶ Major Exploration Program
Students can explore different fields through major introductions, hands-on experiences, and seminars with invited experts, gaining deeper insight into various academic disciplines.

▶ Community Program
The department provides communication channels and hosts events that encourage information sharing and networking among students, fostering a strong sense of belonging within the Liberal Studies community.
